Initial Cold Flu stages
The sooner one notices these conditions and takes action, the better.
Eat less, have a more liquid based diet. The key is to have an energetically expansive diet that will help open sweat glands, and the pores.
Sweating Method: Drink a hot cup or two or “diaphoretic” tea, take a hot bath/shower, drink more tea, then cover in blankets and sweat. Do not sweat to the point of exhaustion. Can be repeated twice daily. If taking a bath is not convenient, drink tea every ½ hr until sweating freely.
Diaphoretic Tea Herbs: Yarrow, Boneset flowers or leaves, elder flowers, chamomile, catnip, pepermint, mormon tea, cayenne red pepper, ma huang, angelica, fresh ginger root, lemon and raw honey combination, rosehips, garlic.
Helpful foods: Bioflavonoid rich foods such as cabbage, green peppers. Other foods like parsley, carrots, broccoli, turnips, arrowroot, parsnips, horseradish, scallions, garlic, lemon juice, grapefruit.
Long term: Moderate excessively sweet and salty foods, as well as dairy and other acid forming foods. (Refer to acid forming list)
