Does Botox go with Holistic Health?

Since I have joined “Cloud 9 Medi-spa” in Yucaipa, one of the most frequent questions i have been asked by my veteran clients is… “does botox go with that holistic health?” My answer is YES for a few reasons.

The ancients have a philosophy that everything is medicine, even poisons, it’s all a matter of how you prepare it and dose it. I think that philosophy fits beautifully with botox. Botox literally is a poison secreted from bacteria. Just as penicillin is produced from bacteria. So, botox is definitely an all natural substance, its just highly refined and extremely dose sensitive.

I feel that offering traditional medicine is extremely important. Being at Cloud 9 does offer me an opportunity to offer alternative health care to those who may have been suspicious, or whom otherwise haven’t been offered it before. I feel that if I can provide someone with a very positive experience that is outside their “norm” of thinking or in experience, that it is a victory for breaking down stereotypes and preconceived (or un-concieved) notions or beliefs about what holistic health is all about, AND about what the other options “out there” are.

Lastly, alternative therapies actually work very well to support and maintain medi-spa type procedures like botox, cut and snips, and the like. I have even seen room tom improve the effectiveness of some of these procedures using a holistic point of view. It’s surprising what a new point of view or perspective can bring…
