Metabolic Fruit Drinks

The following juice recipes are designed to be low in sugar to help support stable blood sugar as well as to prevent excessive candida growth within the body. The fruits chosen may seem acidic, but when metabolized by the body have a definite alkalizing effect. Many of the drinks also have a secondary detoxifying effect by promoting elimination. It is important to use fully ripened fruits, because they have sugars that are easier to absorb and less likely to feed candida. As a sweetener, only use Xylitol (derived from Birch is best) at a 1:1 ration as you would use sugar. Xylitol is diabetic friendly, easier to use than Stevia, protects against infections, and taste very much like sugar.
